Welcome to this
month’s Law Update
Welcome to the first edition of Law Update for 2023. The New Year brings fresh opportunity for us to set new goals and pursue existing objectives with a renewed focus and energy. For us, 2022 was one of our busiest years, we entered new jurisdictions, launched market leading services and continued to on-board leading legal and business service experts. Over the coming months, we want to build on the momentum set in 2022 and work towards our unified vision, to be the leading law firm in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA), and in 2023 we will be focused on the next step in this journey.
Over the next 12 months Law Update will bring you the latest legal developments from across the region. We will spotlight several sectors that are vital to the MENA region’s evolution and economy, such as; Financial Services, Technology, Media and Telecommunications, Education, Retail, and Energy, to name a few. This edition will focus on Healthcare, and its launch coincides with this year’s instalment of Arab Health, a regional event focused on driving forward the sector.
The Healthcare sector in MENA is a major priority, and governments have identified it as a significant sector for the region. The vision is to create world class infrastructure that acts as a local, and medical tourism hub. In addition, the sector is considered a vital pillar in diversifying regional economies, therefore, healthcare authorities across MENA are hard at work in a bid to attract the best professionals, adopt the most up-to-date technologies, and implement relevant regulations to keep apace of the fast-growing sector.
